TORONTO – Receivers Emmanuel Arceneaux of the B.C. Lions and Jamill Smith of the Ottawa Redblacks and Calgary Stampeders quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell were named the CFL’s players of the week Tuesday.
Arceneaux had seven catches for 164 yards and two TDs in the Lions’ 27-23 loss to Edmonton. Arceneaux stands fifth among CFL receivers with 67 catches for 956 yards and seven touchdowns.
Smith returned a missed field goal 109 yards for a TD in Ottawa’s 29-12 home victory over Toronto. He finished the contest with 26 punt-return yards and 30 kickoff-return yards.
Mitchell was 29-of-43 passing for 361 yards and two TDs as Calgary held on to beat Winnipeg 36-34. It was the Stampeders’ 10th straight victory and extended their unbeaten streak to 12 games.
