VERNON – A bizarre car accident on Kalamalka Lake Road prompted multiple calls to RCMP Sunday night.

The car reportedly occupied by two men struck not one, but two telephone poles after leaving the parking lot of Toro's Beer and Wine store just after 10 p.m. before moving onto the sidewalk and continuing southbound.

Spokesperson for Vernon RCMP, Gord Molendyk, says officers located the black Mazda parked on the shoulder of the road, south of the local golf course. Nobody was inside.

Police continue to investigate.
