Kelowna Rockets in Brandon to take on Wheaties

BRANDON, Man. – The Kelowna Rockets play game two of an Eastern Division road trip tonight, Dec. 12, against the Brandon Wheat Kings in a rematch of last season's WHL final, a series that went the minimum of four games and was won by Kelowna.

The Rockets are coming off a 4-3 win in Regina last night that improved its record to 23-6-1-0, first place overall in the WHL.

Cal Foote, Cole Linaker, Dillon Dube and Justin Kirkland scored in the team’s 23rd win of the season. Kole Lind chipped in with two assists. Jackson Whistle stopped 32 shots for his 16th win of the season.

The Rockets have now won 18 of their last 22 games overall (18-3-0-1) and are 12-2-0-0 on home ice and 11-4-1-0 on the road.

Overall the Rockets have points in 15 of 16 games (14-1-1-0).

Following tonight’s game, the Rockets are in Swift Current on Tuesday, Moose Jaw on Wednesday, Prince Albert next Friday and Saskatoon on Saturday, Dec. 19.

Kelowna's next home game is Dec. 28 when they play host to the Kamloops Blazers.
