Earthquakes felt in Kamloops, Princeton

THOMPSON-OKANAGAN – Princeton has been a hot bed of earthquake activity in the past week and today Kamloops joined in on the action.

According to Earthquake Track Princeton has experienced three earthquakes ranging from 1.7 to 2.2 magnitude over the past seven days, including one yesterday afternoon, Dec. 15. Another four were recorded in the area during the three weeks prior, ranging up to a 2.4 magnitude.

Earthquakes Canada recorded a 3.6 magnitude earthquake about 30 kilometres west of Kamloops at 1:48 a.m. this morning, Dec. 16. The quake was lightly felt in Kamloops, according to the Natural Resources Canada site.
