KAMLOOPS – The B.C. Coroners Service has identified a man who drowned in Paul Lake, near Kamloops, July 12, 2014.
He was Lyle Johnston, 84, from Surrey.
Johnston was staying at the family's summer cabin on Paul Lake 19 km northeast of Kamloops. The event happened when he went to the lake to cool off. He was soon in distress and family and friends rescued him from 5 m of water. He was transported to Royal Inland Hospital but died several hours later.
The B.C. Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.
