OTTAWA – The Royal Canadian Mint is celebrating this summer’s FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada by offering commemorative coins.

The coins were unveiled Wednesday in Vancouver and Moncton, two of the tournament’s host cities, with members of the Canadian team on hand.

The tournament will be held June 6 to July 5 with games also being played in Ottawa, Edmonton, Montreal and Winnipeg.

The Mint will be offering a $20 silver coin sold at face value and designed by artist Joel Kimmel.

Also included will be six different $10 fine silver coins designed by artist Greg Banning and three $75 gold coins designed by Glen Green.

The $20 coin can be ordered now at 20for20.ca and 20for20.us, with the others becoming available from the Mint starting April 7.
