Some of the most active companies traded Wednesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange:

Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp. (TSX:PRE). Oil and gas. Unchanged at $2.65 on 6.4 million shares.

B2Gold Corp. (TSX:BTO). Miner. Up three cents, or 1.61 per cent, to $1.89 on 5.4 million shares.

Teranga Gold Corp. (TSX:TGZ). Miner. Up three cents, or 5.08 per cent, to 62 cents on 4.8 million shares.

Torex Gold Resources Inc. (TSX:TXG). Miner. Up eight cents, or 8.51 per cent, to $1.02 on 4.7 million shares.

Suncor Energy Inc. (TSX:SU). Oil and gas. Up 82 cents, or 2.34 per cent, to $35.93 on 4.1 million shares.

Eldorado Gold Corp. (TSX:ELD). Miner. Up 14 cents, or 2.35 per cent, to $6.09 on 4 million shares.

Companies reporting major news:

Power Financial Corp. (TSX:PWF). Financial services. Down 47 cents, or 1.25 per cent, to $37.25 on 446,009 shares. The company posted quarterly net income of $506 million or 71 cents per share, down from $593 million or 84 cents per share a year earlier due to unusual items in both years. Excluding those, operating earnings improved to $525 million or 74 cents per share, from $403 million or 57 cents per share. Power is also is raising its dividend by 6.4 per cent to 37.25 cents per share.
