PRISTINA, Kosovo – Kosovo police arrested three people Friday suspected of crimes related to terrorism, they said in a statement.
The three were detained in two towns, and weapons, ammunition and electronic devices were seized at their homes, they added.
A Pristina court charged the three with preparing terrorist acts and ordered them held for a month.
A court statement said that the three suspects, identified only with their initials as R.K., A.A. and L.M., “were preparing terror acts in Kosovo.” It did not elaborate, and no details of the alleged offences were given.
Police also said the operation was conducted in collaboration with German counterparts, who also made another arrest.
Kosovo authorities claim that no Kosovar citizens have joined terror groups in the past couple of years, although about 160 of them are active in extremist groups in Syria and Iraq.
