Grammy museum in LA is bringing new gallery on music to Nashville, Tennessee, mayor announces

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Grammy Museum is opening up a gallery in Nashville this summer, promising to give visitors an immersive experience on the art and technology of making music.

Nashville Mayor Karl Dean announced on Thursday that the Grammy Gallery will be located on more than 7,000 square feet in the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum at the Municipal Auditorium. It is expected to open in August.

The Grammy Museum at L.A. Live, which pays tribute to music’s cultural history and the Grammy Award itself, is bringing the gallery to Music City.

The Metro Nashville City Council will have to approve $1 million to fund it. Private donors are expected to raise an additional $500,000 to $1 million help pay for it.
