Toppled tree turns off power in Coldstream

COLDSTREAM – A strong wind knocked over a tree which hit power lines and turned off the power for almost 2,000 homes in Coldstream Saturday afternoon.

The power went out at just after 2 p.m. according to B.C. Hydro.

The area impacted is east of College Drive, west of Buchanan Road, north of Cosens Bay Road and south of Pottery Road.

Hydro was hoping to have the electricity flowing again by 4 p.m.
