Kamloops has two New Year’s babies

KAMLOOPS – There were two New Year’s babies born in Kamloops yesterday.

The baby girls were both born at Royal Inland Hospital at 12:35 a.m., Friday, Jan. 1, 2016, according to Interior Health spokesperson Tara Gostelow.

Gostelow says Lauren and Cole Martin of Kamloops welcomed their first born Harper Noelle Martin who weighed 7 lbs., 15 oz., adding both Mom and baby are doing well.

Megan and Brett Ogilvie of Kamloops have named their daughter Ava Mary. She is the couple’s second born child and weighed 8 lbs., 7 oz. Mom and the baby are doing well, Gostelow says.
