KAMLOOPS – The downtown parking stations in Kamloops want more of your money.
As of Saturday, Jan. 2, the parking rates have gone up, according to a media release from the city.
It will now cost you $1.25 for the first and second hour to park downtown, and $2.50 for the third hour. That's up from a $1 an hour. After three hours the vehicle must be moved, the release says.
The City of Kamloops charges for parking downtown from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Monday to Saturday. Parking is free on Sundays and statutory holidays.
The parking stations will take your money in the form of Canadian coins, American quarters. They also accept all major credit cards.
