Vernon RCMP wants to know if you’re missing a key and some hockey cards

VERNON – Police in Vernon are hoping to reunite a bag filled with sentimental items with its rightful owner.

The red duffle bag was found on a bench outside the Alpine Centre on Kalamalka Lake Road around 11:20 a.m., Dec. 20., Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy says.

Inside was a red key with the word ‘home’ on it, a blue lanyard, a hockey card tin and several hockey cards. So far, police have been unable to find the owner.

If the bag is yours, Noseworthy says to come by the RCMP detachment and identify the items. Police don’t always go to such lengths to reunite people with lost items, she says.

“In this case, there are a couple things in there that seem like they would have sentimental value,” she says.
