Kamloops Scouts annual Christmas tree pickup

KAMLOOPS – For those who don't want the hassle of finding a truck to haul off their tree, or messing up their car, various Scouts troops across North America offer a pickup in exchange for a donation, to fund their local  youth activities.

Kamloops Area Scouts are preparing for their annual Christmas Tree pickup. Four area groups are covering the various geographic areas of Kamloops. They take the trees to City of Kamloops depots for disposal, where the trees are chipped into compost material to reduce landfill usage.

Kamloops started this program in 2012, and the last chance to get your trees picked up this year is Saturday, Jan. 9.

Past customers are signing up again for this year:
Hello!  We would like to participate again – this makes tree disposal so easy and convenient!
Thanks. …. We did this last year and we'd love to do it again.
We enjoyed your service last year and would like to participate again this year.
