UPDATE: West Kelowna RCMP investigating suspicious death

WEST KELOWNA – Police now consider the death of a man, whose body was found in a vehicle on Bear Creek Road yesterday, suspicious.

West Kelowna RCMP officers were called to the area, about two kilometres past Parkinson Road, at about 11:23 a.m., Jan. 6., where they found the man’s body inside the vehicle, according to a media release.

“The West Kelowna RCMP General Investigative Section has assumed conduct of the investigation and police are treating the man’s death as suspicious in nature,” Const. Jesse O’Donaghey says in the release.

Along with the RCMP Forensic Identification Service from Kelowna, the B.C. Coroners Service is also involved in the investigation, which O’Donaghey says is in the early stages. He promises more information once it becomes available.
