Police seek armed robber

KELOWNA – Police say two women reported being robbed by a man with a gun on a Rutland street late Tuesday night, June 19.

Kelowna RCMP spokesperson Const. Kris Clark says the women were in the parking lot at 160 Rutland Road North when the unknown man approached with a handgun and demanded money. They said he fled on foot with a stolen purse. A Police service dog couldn't track the man.

The suspect is described as:

Caucasian
Darker complexion
About 5'7" and 170 lbs
Slim build
Scruffy, long facial hair
