Woman dies in Vancouver fire as boy clings to life, suspect arrested: police

RICHMOND, B.C. – Mounties say a 66-year-old woman has died and a 13-year-old boy is clinging to life after a suspicious house fire in Richmond, B.C.

Fire investigators found the body of Elaine Leznoff in the home, and the teen was taken to hospital in critical condition.

A suspect was taken into custody Monday.

Firefighters responded to the blaze at about 2 a.m.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team was on the scene to determine the cause of the fire.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
