KELOWNA – Former superintendent of schools for the Central Okanagan school district Hugh Gloster didn’t take long to jump back into the world of education.
UBC Okanagan has announced Gloster has been hired as project manager for the renewal of the Faculty of Education program.
The program relaunches in 2017 and Gloster is expected to bring his understanding of school districts and school board processes to his new role, according to a media release.
Gloster’s career in public education spans some 36 years and included time spent in every role from teacher to principle to superintendent. He took over as superintendent in 2009.
The superintendent announced last fall he was leaving and was soon replaced by Kevin Kaardal, the former superintendent of schools for the Burnaby school district.
