Medical emergency temporarily closes Penticton pool

PENTICTON – The pool at the Penticton Community Centre was closed last night following a medical emergency involving a patron.

Staff rescued the woman from the pool around 7 p.m., Jan. 16, and provided first aid until paramedics arrived, according to a media release from the city.

She was taken to Penticton Regional Hospital. No word on her current condition.

The pool closed early last night but reopened as usual this morning.
