KELOWNA – Kelowna RCMP are looking for the driver of a vehicle that crashed into a power pole on Gordon Drive this morning, knocking out power in the area.
A witness told police that just before 6:30 a.m., Jan. 18, a man driving a white pickup crashed into the pole.
The witness says the driver claimed he was unhurt but ran away from the scene, only to return a short time later to yell at the witness. He then ran off again towards Okanagan College on KLO Road.
An RCMP police services dog was unable to locate the man.
Kelowna RCMP are concerned for the man’s well-being and ask he contact them at 250-762-3300.
The crash knocked out power in the area, which was restored by 1:30 p.m., according to Fortis B.C.
