Some of the most active companies traded Thursday on the Toronto Stock Exchange:

Connacher Oil and Gas Ltd. (TSX:CLL). Oil and gas. Down half-a-cent, or 33.33 per cent, to one cent on 30.9 million shares.

North American Palladium Ltd. (TSX:PDL). Miner. Down 5.5 cents, or 44 per cent, to seven cents on 18.4 million shares.

Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Aerospace, rail equipment. Up three cents, or 1.12 per cent, to $2.71 on 15.2 million shares.

Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp. (TSX:PRE). Oil and gas. Up 57 cents, or 17.87 per cent, to $3.76 on 9.5 million shares.

MBAC Fertilizer Corp. (TSX:MBC). Fertilizer producer. Unchanged at 11 cents on 9.01 million shares.

Gran Tierra Energy Inc. (GTE). Oil and gas. Up 25 cents, or 5.79 per cent, to $4.57 on 5.5 million shares.

Companies reporting major news:

Canadian National Railway Co. (TSX:CNR). Transportation. Down 38 cents, or 0.47 per cent, to $80.99 on 937,591 shares. The company plans to spend $500 million in Western Canada to improve feeder rail lines that are handling rising volumes of industrial products, natural resources and energy-related commodities. About $100 million will be spent this year in northern Alberta to handle higher anticipated volume in the Peace River region.

Magna International (TSX:MG). Auto parts. Down 13 cents, or 0.20 per cent, to $66.52 on 655,212 shares. The Ontario-based company has agreed to sell its interiors operations for about $525 million to Spanish auto parts manufacturer Grupo Antolin. The transaction includes 36 manufacturing operations and some12,000 employees in Europe, North America and Asia.
