Dirt biker who went missing near Vernon, B.C., found during search

VERNON, B.C. – A 25-year-old dirt biker has been found after being missing for nearly two days south of Vernon, B.C.

An intensive search was executed Thursday morning for Kyle Macinnes, who went for a ride at about 4 p.m. Tuesday and hadn’t been seen since.

A trio of search and rescue teams from Vernon, Kelowna and the Shuswap scoured an area outside Vernon by both ground and air.

Concerns were mounted because he is not an experienced rider and he was not wearing a helmet.

But the search ended when Macinnes returned home on his own at about 10:15 a.m. Thursday.

He is now being interviewed by police and it is not yet known where he had been or if he has any injuries. (CKIZ)
