MONROE, La. – Two teenagers have been arrested for lying about the location of a man that investigators say shot two Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies.
The sheriff’s office Friday arrested two 17-year-olds, Domonique L. Dean and Rodricus T. Shaw, on accessory-after-the-fact charges. Investigators say they called police during a manhunt to lure police away from Rickie Wade Jr. Investigators say Wade shot two unnamed deputies who were trying to arrest Wade for outstanding warrants at his Monroe home around 6 a.m. Thursday.
Arrest records show that while police prepared to raid the house where Wade was hiding, they received a call from a person who identified himself as Wade and said he was elsewhere. Police determined the phone belonged to Dean, and records show Shaw admits he and Dean made the call.
