KAMLOOPS – Several neighbourhoods will be affected by low water supply and possible water discolouration as the city completes emergency repairs to the Juniper water booster station this week.
The City of Kamloops will be completing emergency repairs to the Juniper booster station and will need to conduct tests to all areas affected by the station.
The testing will take place Thursday, Jan. 28 through Friday, Jan. 29 and will affect North Kamloops, Brocklehurst, Westsyde and Valleyview. The city warns these area could experience lower than normal water pressure along with the possibility of increased turbidity. This possible discolouration is due to disturbed deposits in the pipes and is not harmful.
Running a cold water faucet will eliminate the air and discoloured water issues.
