Kamloops RCMP investigating suspicious death at Valleyview motel

KAMLOOPS – Local officers are investigating after a body was found at a Valleyview motel this morning.

RCMP have deemed the death of a 49-year-old as suspicious. The body was found today, Jan. 26, at a motel in the 1700 block of the Trans Canada Highway East Frontage Road around 11:30 a.m, according to Cpl. Cheryl Bush, a spokesperson for Kamloops RCMP.

She says the serious crimes unit responded to the death and investigators with the B.C. Coroners Service are also following up on the death.

Bush says because the investigation is in its early stages, no further information will be released.
