Mitchell, Hajrullahu and Jefferson capture CFL top performer honours

TORONTO – Calgary Stampeders quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell and kicker Lirim Hajrullahu and defensive back A.J. Jefferson, both of the Toronto Argonauts, were named the CFL’s players of the week Tuesday.

Mitchell was 29-of-44 passing for 364 yards and three TDs in leading Calgary to a 44-41 overtime win over the B.C. Lions. The win moved the Stampeders (3-1-1) atop the West Division standings.

Hajrullahu hit all five field goals he attempted in Toronto’s 23-20 road victory over the Ottawa Redblacks. Hajrullahu has made 16-of-19 attempts this season, his first with the Argos.

Jefferson registered his first two interceptions of the year in the win over Ottawa. Jefferson also added five tackles in the game.
