Model in nude Times Square caper: It ended ‘7 days of mania’

NEW YORK – A fashion model who cavorted naked in Times Square while shouting about Donald Trump is on track to get his public lewdness case dropped by completing psychiatric treatment.

Krit McClean said after a court date Friday that his behaviour June 30 capped “seven days of mania,” but he didn’t know it at the time. The 21-year-old was hospitalized after his arrest, and he now says he’s been diagnosed with a genetic predisposition for manic episodes.

Prosecutors requested the case be dismissed in six months if McClean continues treatment and avoids trouble.

McClain strutted nude atop a grandstand above a discount Broadway tickets booth, sometimes shouting “where’s Donald Trump?” He eventually jumped off the booth.

His lawyer, Dan Ollen, says it was “a one-time manic episode” that’s unlikely to recur.
