COQUITLAM, B.C. – Police have identified the man who was fatally stabbed outside a pub in Coquitlam, B.C., over the weekend.
He was Robert Vidovich, a 55-year-old resident of Coquitlam.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says police were called to a parking lot Sunday afternoon and found a man suffering from serious injuries.
Investigators say evidence suggests Vidovich was stabbed with an edged weapon, but it is not known whether he knew his attacker, who fled on foot.
Police say Vidovich was taken by ambulance to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Officers were working to determine a motive for the crime.
