Daughter of ex-NBA player Scottie Pippen arrested on public intoxication charge in Iowa

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The daughter of former NBA player Scottie Pippen has been arrested on allegations that she urinated in an Iowa City hotel lobby.

The Iowa City Police Department says 20-year-old Sierra Pippen was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Sunday at the Sheraton Iowa City Hotel on a charge of public intoxication. The Iowa City Press-Citizen reports (http://icp-c.com/1zgBnnV ) she was released on bond later Sunday morning.

A police complaint says an officer reported Pippen smelling of alcohol and having impaired speech and balance in a walkway near the hotel. She refused a preliminary alcohol screening. Pippen has pleaded not guilty and will appear in court May 28.

Online court records indicate Pippen was arrested on the same charge earlier this month.

Pippen is an undergraduate student at the University of Iowa.
