Witness: Fight outside Philadelphia bar led to fatal stabbing of Nicki Minaj tour crew member

PHILADELPHIA – A musician says a fight outside a Philadelphia bar led to a stabbing that killed a member of rapper Nicki Minaj’s tour.

Marcus Kincy testified Tuesday at 31-year-old Pierce Boykin’s preliminary hearing.

Boykin is charged with murder in the Feb. 18 stabbing death of 29-year-old Devon Pickett in the city’s West Oak Lane section.

A 27-year-old man survived stab wounds to the side and arm.

Kincy says he, Pickett and other members of Minaj’s tour were at Che’ Bar and Grill where a friend worked.

Kincy says they moved outside when the bar closed after a fired employee caused a disturbance.

He says he found Pickett unresponsive on the ground after the stabbing.

A judge is expected to determine if there’s sufficient evidence to send the case to trial.
