LANGFORD, B.C. – Playmaker Nathan Hirayama will return to Canada’s men’s sevens team for the upcoming Glasgow Sevens event.
Hirayama, from Vancouver, hasn’t played this season due to a long-term shoulder issue.
The 27-year-old half-scrum joins Liam Middleton’s 13-man squad with Lucas Hammond and Justin Douglas the players missing out, as Canada look to build on the foundations laid from their impressive fourth-place finish in Tokyo.
Elsewhere, one of the stars of that recent event in Japan, Ciaran Hearn, is again included alongside stalwarts Harry Jones, Sean Duke, Conor Trainor, Mike Fuailefau, Sean White and captain John Moonlight. Young quintet Admir Cejvanovic, Pat Kay, Liam Underwood, Adam Zaruba and Pat Parfrey complete the group.
