Former Red Sox pitcher joining conservative Breitbart news
NEW YORK – Former Major League pitcher Curt Schilling is joining the Breitbart News Network as host of the conservative organization’s first online radio show.
The former Boston Red Sox World Series hero, who has said he’s considering a challenge to Democratic U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, will start his two-hour call-in show on Tuesday at 9 a.m. ET.
Schilling called Breitbart “the last bastion of actual journalism.”
In April, Schilling was fired as an analyst by ESPN for his Facebook comments about transgender people.
Schilling starred for the Philadelphia Phillies, Arizona Diamondbacks and Red Sox. He played on three World Series winners and retired in 2009.
