AUGSBURG, Germany – Kevin Clark scored twice as Canada held off Germany 3-1 on Sunday in the final game of the Deutschland Cup.
Canada finishes the three-day round-robin tournament in second place with two wins, and one shootout loss to first place Slovakia.
Derek Roy also had a goal in the first period as Canada built a 3-0 lead by the first intermission.
Thomas Greilinger replied for Germany (0-2-1) early in the third period but that’s as close as the host nation would come.
Canada has won the Deutschland Cup tournament four times (2000, 2002, 2005, 2008), earned four silvers (1993, 1997, 2004, 2016) and four bronze (1994, 1996, 2006, 2010).
