Bombers’ winning streak against Ticats on the line Saturday in crucial game

WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers need to keep a winning streak against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats alive a little longer.

The Bombers haven’t lost to the Tiger-Cats during the regular season or playoffs since August 2010.

But they need to win one more time Saturday in Hamilton to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Both teams sit at 5-11 and are scrounging for the last playoff spot in the CFL East Division.

The 7-9 Edmonton Eskimos have a chance to eliminate both teams from post-season contention. An Edmonton victory would ensure a Western team crosses over for the final spot.

Winnipeg cornerback Johnny Sears has been moved to strong-side linebacker for the Hamilton game.
