Prosecutors charge woman suspected of breaking into singer Chris Brown’s California home
LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Prosecutors charged a woman they say broke into the Los Angeles-area home of Chris Brown and spent several days there before the singer returned with felony burglary, stalking and vandalism.
Amira Kodcia Ayeb, 21, was arraigned Friday, when a judge ordered her to stay at least 100 yards from Brown. She was being held on $220,000 bail.
Brown called the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday to report finding an intruder at his home in the city of Agoura Hills.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office said in a news release that prosecutors believe Ayeb broke in May 2, and over the next four days vandalized Brown’s house and cars.
She was represented Friday by a public defender, who did not return a call seeking comment.
A representative for Brown also did not return requests for comment.
Ayeb’s next hearing was scheduled for May 21.
