KAMLOOPS – Temperatures are expected to flirt with double digits this week but don’t expect a lot of sun to accompany the warmer temperatures.
Environment Canada is calling for a high of 6 Celsius today, Feb. 15, with temperatures expected to reach 8 C or 9 C the rest of the week. Overnight lows are expected to range from 4 C tonight to 0 C later in the week.
Along with the above normal temperatures, seasonal normals range from a high of 4 C to a low of -4 C this time of year, we can expect showers today followed by a mix of sun and cloud Tuesday and then cloud cover for the rest of the week.
For those people hitting the highways this morning, expect slushy and slippery sections on many Southern Interior highways, along with sections of fog and debris on the road. A snowfall warning has also been issued for Highway 3.
