PENTICTON – A Penticton motorist managed to avoid hitting a deer last night, but still wasn't able to drive home.
A Penticton RCMP officer was driving in the opposite direction of a Chevy Lumina that swerved into his lane last night, Feb. 15, after the vehicle took evasive action to avoid striking a deer, Penticton RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth says.
The officer stopped to check on the welfare of the driver and discovered the woman is currently prohibited from driving.
The deer may have walked away from the incident, but the woman faces a court date as a result of the close encounter.
