ANCHORAGE, Alaska – U.S. Rep. Don Young just won his 23rd term in Congress, and he’s apparently already planning for another.
Young on Tuesday defeated Democrat Steve Lindbeck for another two-year term as Alaska’s sole delegate in the U.S. House.
The 83-year-old Young is also the longest serving Republican in the House.
Young posted a video to YouTube after his victory Tuesday night, hinting at another run in 2018.
He thanks everyone who voted for him.
Then he said, “And those that didn’t vote for me will have another chance next election.”
