Toronto restaurant brawl video goes viral; police look for suspect
TORONTO – A brawl at a Toronto restaurant that saw a woman hit in the face with a flying dinner plate was captured on video and has gone viral on YouTube.
Police say several people in a downtown Vietnamese restaurant started fighting around 3:30 a.m. Saturday.
The YouTube video shows a man hurl a plate into a group of women — some wearing Halloween costumes — hitting one of them square in the face, with the impact breaking the plate into pieces.
Police say the woman was injured and needed medical attention.
The video has racked up more than 252,000 views since it was uploaded Saturday to the video-sharing website.
Police say they’re looking for a male suspect in his early to mid-20s, around five-foot-nine with short black hair shaved on both sides and a muscular build with multi-coloured tattoos on his left arm.
He was wearing a costume vest with “SWAT” written on it, a tight black t-shirt and black pants.
