People, goats enjoy sunny weather

Bright blue skies and highs of 13 C had people and animals out sunning themselves today in Vernon and surrounding areas.

And the mercury's only rising.

Environment Canada is predicting temperatures to rise through the week and into the weekend. There's a little cloudiness expected on Wednesday and Thursday, but only sun for Easter weekend.

Friday is forecasted to have a high of 15 C, Saturday 16 C and Sunday 18 C.

There are many ways to enjoy the sun—and time-off—this weekend.

Ellison Provincial Park and Kekuli Bay Provincial Park are set to open Friday for camping. The water may be too cool for swimming, but the weather should be perfect for hiking the park trails.

Sunny spring skiing, snowshoeing and cross country skiing can be had at Silver Star Mountain Resort before it closes April 7.
