KELOWNA – Thousands have poured into Kelowna's beachfront parks to enjoy the Centre of Gravity Festival.
The three day annual music and sports extravaganza opened on Friday and wraps up on Sunday.
New this year is an expanded water zone off Hot Sands beach where wake boarders are pulled through the water with a winch.
The Dirt Zone, where BMX and motocross athletes perform stunts for the crowd features side-by-side courses and a bigger stage this year. The urban zone is for bike riders and boarders.
There's beach and grass volleyball, basketball and of course Canada's hottest beach festival wouldn't be complete without a bikini contest.
Sunday’s music lineup alone includes Calvin Harris, Tegan and Sara, Chromeo, Capital Cities and Adventure Club.
Last year around 30,000 attended the festival, but this year those numbers might fall since it was moved from the August long weekend.
