Emaciated lost cat reunited with Penticton owners
PENTICTON – A starving cat found and brought to the Penticton SPCA has been reunited with his owners after he was missing for over four months.
The cat, named John, was found recently lying in some leaves by Penticton creek, according to a post on the B.C. SPCA South Okanagan Similkameen branch Facebook page.
He was so emaciated he could barely walk.
While staff at the shelter nursed John back to health, they also went on the hunt for his owners.
“It turns out, John was a very loved indoor kitty who went missing on Oct. 22, 2015,” the Facebook post says. “His owners never gave up hope.”
John and his owners were reunited at the shelter yesterday morning, Feb. 27 and has returned to his indoor cat life after his harrowing outdoor adventure.
