First Quantum Minerals reports third-quarter profit and sales up from year ago

VANCOUVER – First Quantum Minerals Ltd. (TSX:FM), which keeps its books in U.S. dollars, said Wednesday it earned US$107.3 million or 23 cents per share for the quarter ended Sept. 30 compared with a profit of $90.9 million or 20 cents per share a year ago. Sales revenue totalled $724.8 million, up from $651 million.
