Manteo Resort sold to company that bought Hotel Eldorado

KELOWNA – The same company that bought the Hotel Eldorado two years ago now owns Manteo Resort next door as well.

Ted Callahan, President and CEO of Argus Properties purchased the resort, but not the Beach Club or Villas, for an undisclosed amount

Argus purchased the Hotel Eldorado, which shares a 1,000-foot lakefront boardwalk with Manteo, two years ago.

“The prospect of selling Manteo Resort was not an easy process,” CEO of Rykon Group Adrian Block says. “I am thrilled, however, to pass it on to a group that I know will ensure its continued success for our guests, long-term colleagues and the hotel itself.”

A press release from Argus says staff will be kept and even benefit from joining a hospitality group that includes the Four Points by Sheraton at the Kelowna Airport.

“We feel very fortunate to have this opportunity that may only come along once in a generation,” Ted Callahan says in the release. “Manteo Resort is a great asset to Kelowna and, in harmony with the Hotel Eldorado, we are honoured to be able to showcase these lakeside destinations both within our community and to international visitors.”
