Rapper who was part of Fetty Wap crew freed on $250,000 bail
PATERSON, N.J. – A rapper who was part of Fetty Wap’s Remy Boyz recording group has been freed from jail after he was charged in a shooting that injured a 7-year-old boy.
Justin Pope, known professionally as P-Dice, was freed last week after posting $250,000 bail and left jail in a Rolls Royce.
Pope faces charges of attempted murder and weapons offences stemming from the February shooting in Paterson, New Jersey. He has pleaded not guilty.
Passaic County authorities say Pope fired a shot that went through an apartment and hit the boy in the shoulder. The child has since recovered.
Authorities have said there’s no indication the shooter targeted anyone in the apartment.
Pope was seen in a video for Fetty Wap’s “679” song.
The Remy Boyz recording group parted ways last October.
