Two suspects arrested after Kamloops robbery involving a machete

KAMLOOPS – Two suspects in the robbery involving a machete have been arrested and the investigation remains ongoing.

On March 1 around 1:35 a.m. Kamloops RCMP received a report of a man robbed by three people on Tranquille Road. Police say one of the males in the group brandished a machete before the trio took his wallet and cell phone.

Yesterday evening police identified suspects and arrested two males — an 18-year-old and a 21-year-old. Both have been released from custody on a promise to appear, according to Cpl. Cheryl Bush, a spokesperson for Kamloops RCMP.

The victim was not injured in the incident and had his wallet returned to him after a good samaritan turned it into RCMP.
