WYNNE, Ark. – An Arkansas man who has twice escaped from jail in the last five weeks has been recaptured, this time after falling through a ceiling.
Investigators say 43-year-old Bryan Baldwin escaped from the Cross County jail on Friday after slipping through a fence. He was found on Sunday hiding in the attic of a residence in Wynne, a city in northeast Arkansas.
Sheriff J.R. Smith says Baldwin was arrested after falling through the ceiling. Baldwin was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Baldwin was arrested in August on a DWI charge, but fled before police could finish booking him. Smith says Baldwin was captured last week, but again escaped through a fence surrounding the jail’s exercise yard.
He now faces charges including two counts of third-degree escape.
