WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are taking the interim tag off Tim Burke’s title.
General manager Joe Mack says Burke will remain head coach of the CFL team next season.
Burke took over the position on an interim basis last August.
The 5-12 Blue Bombers are last in the East Division standings and will not make the playoffs.
Winnipeg will close out the regular season on Saturday against the visiting Montreal Alouettes.
Burke first joined the Blue Bombers last year as defensive co-ordinator and defensive backs coach.
