2 Texas officers injured in crash chasing road rage suspect
FORT WORTH, Texas – Two Texas police officers have been taken to the hospital with serious injuries after crashing during a vehicle pursuit of a person involved in a road rage incident.
Fort Worth Police spokesman Officer Brad Perez told The Fort Worth Star-Telegram Sunday that the officers were responding to a call around 3 p.m. for a road rage incident during which a suspect allegedly displayed a gun at another vehicle.
Perez says there was “some type of accident” that involved the officers crashing their patrol car into a brick wall at a Wells Fargo Bank and the suspect’s car being disabled as well. Perez said the suspect took off on foot after the accident. The suspect, who was not identified, was in custody as of 4:30 p.m.
