CAE profit up 13 per cent to $67.7 million in fourth quarter on record revenues

MONTREAL – Flight simulator and training company CAE Inc says its profits soared 13 per cent to $67.7 million in its fourth quarter on record revenue.

The Montreal-based company earned 24 cents per share for the three months ended March 31, one cent higher than a year earlier when it earned $59.9 million.

Revenue increased 9.7 per cent to $631.6 million.

For the full year, it earned $204.7 million or 76 cents per share, up from $191.1 million of 73 cents per share in the prior year as revenue rose eight per cent to a record $2.25 billion.

In addition to record annual revenues, CAE (TSX:CAE) set a new high for operating income of $332.8 million and order backlog of $5.36 billion as the civil and defence aviation and health-care segments all posted gains.
